v1.57: Companion
What's New
Conversational Voice Onboarding: First-time users are greeted with a full-screen voice experience that learns your project intent and working style through a short, adaptive conversation. It automatically chooses voice or text based on your microphone, lets you interrupt or skip at any time, and finishes with a personalized welcome animation.
Companion: An opt-in sidebar assistant you can talk or type to that understands your live project context and can take action on your behalf. It navigates instantly, asks before making reversible changes, and requires explicit confirmation for destructive actions, while maintaining per-project conversation history and tone.
Fabric Self-Knowledge: Fabric now understands its own capabilities and can accurately answer questions about what it can do. Browse the documentation anytime using the new
/docscommand or the Help menu.App Settings Control: You can now ask the assistant to adjust app settings for you, while sensitive fields like API keys remain read-only and securely stored.
Plan Build Button: Markdown files in your plans folder are automatically recognized as plans and show a Build button that sends the plan directly to chat in the same window.
Agent Database Scoping: Database panels and content are now hidden from the assistant in agent mode to keep your schema and data private.
